Deus Ex: Human Revolution is a science fiction action role-playing video game developed by Eidos Montreal and published by Square Enix. Released in August 2011, it is the third game in the Deus Ex series, and a prequel to the original game released in 2000.[
The game is set in 2027, 25 years before the first title, where corporations have extended their influence past the reach of global governments. The game follows Adam Jensen, the security chief for one of the world's most powerful human augmentation corporations, Sarif Industries. After a devastating attack on Sarif's headquarters, Adam is forced to undergo radical surgeries that fuse his body with mechanical augmentations, and he is embroiled in the search for those responsible for the attack.
Human Revolution received critical acclaim upon its release, with many reviewers praising the open-ended nature of the game and the weight of conversations on the outcome of events.

The different "pillars of gameplay", as called by the developers, are "Combat", "Stealth", "Hacking", and "Social". Players can switch between these gameplay types whenever they please, and certain pillars may flow into others. For example, a failed hack may sound an alarm and start a fight, and social skills might lead to the player gaining access to certain areas more easily than otherwise possible.

Gameplay

In the series, Augmentations are technological modifications to the body that allow the user to use superhuman abilities. While augmentations in the first two games were nanotech,Human Revolution is set prior to both and instead features mechanical augmentations. These Augmentations cater to each of the four gameplay types. While the player character is highly capable of bringing death on his enemies, the player is never forced into acts of lethal violence, except during boss fights. Augmentations, while enhancing the player's performance in each of the gameplay types, also allow players to craft their own methods of play as they see fit.
Every enemy squad has an identifiable squad leader who directs the team's actions. If the leader is killed, the squad falls into disarray. Enemies also react to subtle player decisions, such as a change in behaviour or weapons, etc. Unlike in Invisible War, weapons will fire distinct ammunition types instead of depleting a unified pool. They can also be upgraded to better suit the player's preference.
Deviating from previous titles in the series, Human Revolution uses a regenerating health model. This change was made because the developers did not want players to get into a situation where they were unable to progress due to low health, and would be forced to "scrounge for med packs" and food. This scrounging behavior breaks the flow of the game when the player retreats to search the entire level for medical supplies. Combat is highly lethal, so regenerative health is only a major factor between fights, not during them. However, the player can still use medical supplies (such as painkillers) to regenerate or even boost the character's health. Despite regenerative health, the game still includes health restoring consumables such as medical supplies.
Similarly to regenerative health, the game also features a new regenerative energy system, deviating from the previous title's use of items to restore energy. While players will still need to use items to boost their energy cell charge past one, the final cell will gradually recharge.
Another major change seen in Deus Ex: Human Revolution is the highlighting of objects a player can interact with, explained via the in-game plot as tactical vision Augmentation. This feature can be seen in the game play preview released in March 2011. This highlighting of objects can be turned off in the game options.Human Revolution is primarily a first-person game, but switches to a contextual third-person viewpoint when using the cover system, certain Augmentations, or for melee combat.

Synopsis

Setting

This cyberpunk-inspired game takes place during the year 2027, 25 years before Deus Ex. Nanotechnological augmentations have yet to be developed and biomechanical augmentations are the current state of the art. The player's character, Adam Jensen (voiced by Elias Toufexis), is a private security officer with Sarif Industries, a leading biotech company that specializes in human augmentations. After an attack on his company leaves him horrifically injured and forced to undergo augmentation to survive, "the conspiracy begins." The player travels to several locations over the course of the game: Detroit, Montreal, Shanghai, Singapore and Panchea, a facility in the Arctic Ocean.

Characters

  • Adam Jensen – The player's character, (voiced by Elias Toufexis). Adam was a SWAT commander in the Detroit Police, but his career came to an end when he refused to follow a questionable order. Subsequently, Adam became a private security specialist for Sarif Industries, assigned to protect scientists on the verge of cutting edge breakthroughs. During what should have been a routine security detail, an ambush by a rogue black ops team, the Tyrants, leaves Adam critically injured and his charges dead. Adam awakens with cybernetic augmentations, and begins a relentless search for the truth behind the attack.
  • David Sarif – The founder and CEO of Sarif Industries, David is a futurist who developed an interest in machines at an early age. He is known for his forward, honest demeanor, though he has no aversion to keeping secrets when appropriate.
  • Bill Taggart - A psychologist, Bill is the founder of the Humanity Front and becomes a leading opposition to human augmentation, a cause he took up after his wife's murder by an augmented addict.
  • Hugh Darrow - The godfather of Augmentation, after having retired, builds Panchaea to help control global warming. Seen as a hero for David and Megan, however, it is revealed that he regrets creating augmentation and plans to end bio-modification in a sinister and frightening way.
  • Zhao Yun Ru - One of the primary antagonists, she is the president of Tai Yong Medical, a rival company against Sarif Industries whose company is attempting to take control of the bio-modification market.
  • Dr. Megan Reed - One of the lead researchers at Sarif Industries and Adam's ex-girlfriend. Dr. Reed is considered a pioneer in the field of human enhancement technologies. Her dedication to her research, and her aloof demeanor, has made it difficult for her to cultivate lasting interpersonal relationships.
  • Faridah Malik - A helicopter pilot for Sarif Industries, she transports Jensen into various missions and locations. In one of the side missions, Malik asks Jensen to help her find the murderer of her best friend in Hengsha and bring him to justice.
  • Frank Pritchard - The head of Sarif's cyber-security team, Frank has a sour relationship with Jensen, however, he is Jensen's main logistical support during his missions.
  • Eliza Cassan - A reporter for the international news network, Picus TV. She shows interest in Jensen and his activities and supports him in uncovering the conspiracy.
  • Isaias Sandoval - Taggart's chief aide, who joins the Humanity Front after his augmented brother goes on a rampage and is talked down by Taggart.
  • Lawrence Barrett - A former marine turned mercenary, Barrett is a member of the Tyrants. Like Namir, he has augmented his already impressive physique with numerous cybernetic upgrades. He lives for the moment when he's beaten his enemy into submission, and Adam Jensen is his next target.
  • Yelena Federova - A statuesque, athletic woman of Afro-Russian descent, Yelena is one of Belltower's most elite assassins. Unlike Barrett, she favors stealth over brute force. Being one of few women in a male-dominated profession has strongly influenced her worldview, making her cautious of everything around her.
  • Jaron Namir – An Israeli-born mercenary, Namir is the field commander for the Tyrants. Officially a senior member of the PMC Belltower Associates, he actually takes his orders from the Illuminati. A merciless combatant, yet also a devoted family man, he has had numerous cybernetic enhancements to compensate for the decline associated with advanced age.
  • Tong Si Hung - The biggest crime boss in Hengsha, Tong owns a nightclub called the Hive. Later, he is revealed to be the leader of the Harvesters, a gang who deals in black market human enhancement augmentations as well as being the father of Tracer Tong, a character in the original Deus Ex.
  • Zeke Sanders - A former augmented soldier, Zeke is the leader of the anti-augmentation extremist group, Purity First, who leads an attack on a Sarif manufacturing plant.

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier(previously known as Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon 4) is a video game published byUbisoft and due for release in 2012.Excluding expansions, it is the fourth installment in the Ghost Recon series, and was announced to be in development by Ubisoft on January 22, 2009. The game will be a futuristic take on the Ghost Recon series. ThePlayStation Portable version is known as Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Predator.

Plot

The story will take place in a near future in Norway, the Middle East, and Asia where Russia went into war. The Ghosts will be fighting an ultra-nationalist force that took control of Russia and are invading neighboring countries on the deadliest missions behind enemy lines. The player will take control of a 4-man Ghost team consisting of a commando (Kozak), a sniper expert (Pepper), a reconnaissance expert (30k), and an engineer (Bones). The Wii and PSP versions have different storylines.

Gameplay

The game is a third-person shooter for most of the game, except when aiming using sights, or when firing from cover, when the game switches to a first-person camera in order to facilitate more precise aiming. Cover can be partially destroyed, forcing the players to constantly seek other hiding spots. A new feature in the series is the "optical camouflage", a form of active camouflage which allows the Ghosts to become instantly invisible. According to the game designer Rafael Morado, the optical camo technology, however, is still a prototype and there are as many disadvantages as there are advantages and its use will initially be extremely limited.According to writer Gabrielle Shrager, it is also possible to control drones. During E3 2011 Ubisoft debuted the games weapon customizer. The system works with the Xbox Kinect and allows an unprecedented level of customization, down to the gas management parts of every gun. While customizing weapons, the player is also allowed to test their creations in a simulated environment. Voice control is also used in weapon creation, in addition to hand movements. Using Kinect, drawing a weapon is done by reaching a hand over your back, and pulling it back down, as if grabbing a gun from your back. Shooting is accomplished by opening the hand and closing it again.

Dead Space 2 is a survival horror third-person shooter video game developed by Visceral Games and published by Electronic Arts forMicrosoft Windows, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. It is the sequel to Dead Space. Unlike its predecessor, Dead Space 2 has a multiplayer mode.A Collector's Edition is available for all three platforms. The PlayStation 3 Limited Edition includes Dead Space: Extraction as a PlayStation Move compatible title.

Dead Space 2
is a survival horror third-person shooter. The player controls Isaac Clarke from a third-person point of view, looking over the character's right shoulder. The game features no HUD, relying on holograms projected from the player character and his weapons to show information such as messages and ammunition count, respectively. Player health and stasis are shown by visual indicators on Isaac's back. Isaac must fight an alien organism that infects and takes control of human corpses, turning them into "Necromorphs", mutating their bodies.

The player acquires two modules; a "stasis" module, allowing the player to slow down enemies or objects, allowing for otherwise insurmountable moving obstacles such as active heavy machinery to be slowed down, allowing Isaac to safely pass, and the "kinesis" module, which allows Isaac to manipulate objects and machinery telekinetically.
The player may upgrade their weapons and armor at work benches, using power nodes found throughout the game. In-game stores may be accessed where the player may buy and sell various items and attain new weapons and suits through the acquisition of schematics found throughout the levels.
The player encounters zero-G environments, where Isaac is capable of maneuvering with thrusters attached to his suit.
Dead Space 2 offers five difficulty levels; Casual, Normal, Survivalist, Zealot and Hard Core. Hard Core mode is unlocked once the game has been completed. It can only be played from a fresh start and the player is limited to three saves in the entire game, with ammunition, health, supplies and credits being very difficult to find, and enemies are very challenging. There are no checkpoints in this mode.

Multiplayer

Multiplayer mode pits two teams of four players against each other, one team consisting of humans trying to accomplish an objective, and the other consisting of Necromorphs, who are tasked with stopping the humans from accomplishing said objective. Each playable character has two weapons in their arsenal. New weapons and improvements can be unlocked through level progression, along with different colored suits for the humans. The necromorphs on the other hand, unlock improvements to their current abilities as well as bonuses to health or damage.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (abbreviated as Call of Duty: MW3CoD: MW3 or simply MW3) is an upcoming first-person shooter video game, currently being developed by Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer Games with Raven Software assisting in development. It will be the third installment in the Modern Warfare series, and the eighth Call of Duty installment.

Gameplay

Like its predecessors, Modern Warfare 3 is a first-person shooter video game. It will run at 60 frames per second, minimum.Activisionconfirmed at Gamescom 2011, that Modern Warfare 3 on the PC will have dedicated servers support.

Campaign

The player assumes the role of various characters during the single-player campaign, changing perspectives throughout the progression of the story. Each level is a mission that features a series of objectives that are displayed on the heads up display, which marks the direction and distance towards and from such objectives. Damage to the player is shown by blood shown on the screen. The player's health regenerates as time passes. Tasks vary in their requirements, having the player arrive at a particular checkpoint, eliminate enemies in a specified location, stand their ground to defend an objective, or plant explosive charges on an enemy installation. The player will be accompanied by troops who cannot be issued orders.

Cooperative

Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer Games have revealed that Modern Warfare 3 will feature a new Survival Mode. Survival Mode features one to two players fighting endless waves of enemies with each wave getting more difficult. Despite being much compared to the World at War Nazi Zombies mode, enemies do not spawn at fixed locations like the zombies do, but instead, at tactical positions based on the current location of the player. The mode will be available on all multiplayer maps in the game and in the mode, players can earn "cash" for items such as weapons, upgrades and ammo.

Multiplayer

Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer Games confirmed that they revamped the entire killstreak reward system. They have stated that whileTreyarch had slightly improved the system, it was not enough to make the system feel perfect. There are now 3 different "strike packages" for killstreaks called Assault, Support, and Specialist. The Assault strike package works the same as the default killstreak reward system in Modern Warfare 2 and Black Ops, offering killstreaks like the predator drone and helicopters. The Support strike package offers support-style rewards such as UAVs and SAM Turrets. Unlike previous games in the franchise, the Support strike package will not make the player's killstreak reward reset upon death, but instead, accumulate over the course of a match, and performing certain objective-based actions will add to the player's killstreak. The Specialist strike package rewards players with perks instead of killstreaks. After every second consecutive kill, the player will receive a perk of there choosing, and after eight kills, they will receive every perk in the game, but will reset back to none upon death.
Along with revamping the entire killstreak reward system, Modern Warfare 3 will also have a completely revamped ranking and unlocks system. Unlike Call of Duty: Black OpsModern Warfare 3 will not use a currency system. Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer Games have also revealed that they are removing annoyances that make players rely less on skill and more on perks. To do this, they are removing certain perks that give players a power advantage over others who do not possess the same perk. 'Quick-scoping' has also returned, having been absent in Black Ops. Unlike Black OpsModern Warfare 3 will not feature dive to prone or "dolphin dive" due to various balancing issues. The teams have also revealed that to fix bugs and glitches, they will not use full updates but instead Treyarch's hot fix system to fix problems much quicker. Unlike previous game in the series, the player's weapon will level up alongside the player. As the weapon levels up, the weapon unlocks a number of "Proficiency" perks such as Kick (reduced recoil while aiming down your sight) and Focus (stay focused under fire). Only one Proficiency can be put on a single weapon and is only allowed to be put on primary weapons.Another new addition is the ability to equip Hybrid Scopes on a weapon, such as a Red Dot Sight and ACOG Sight on a single weapon, and the player can switch between the scopes. Unlike Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2Modern Warfare 3 will have a local and online split-screen option.
A new gamemode has also been added, titled "Kill Confirmed". Kill Confirmed requires players to collect floating dog tags from the corpse of a downed enemy before the kill can be registered. However, the opposing team can pick up the dogtag as well to deny the other team of a kill. Another gamemode has also been added titled "Team Defender". In Team Defender, each team must cap the opposing team's flag, and hold it to accumulate points. Private matches also now include pre-made gamemodes including "Infection" (where the infected kills enemies to recruit them to their team), "Drop Zone" (where you must hold a drop zone for points and care packages), "Team Juggernaut" (each team plays alongside an AI Juggernaut character), "Gun Game" (be the first to get one kill with every gun in the game) and "One in the Chamber" (in which players are only allowed one pistol with one bullet and three lives where they can only get more bullets by killing other players). Along with this, players are allowed to create their own game modes with customized settings such as number of players and time limit.

Call of Duty: Elite

Call of Duty: Elite is a new free/subscription-based service developed by Beachhead Studios for the multiplayer portion of Modern Warfare 3 (as well as the previous installment in the series, Black Ops). It was first showcased at E3 2011 and is set to coincide with the release of Modern Warfare 3 on November 8th, 2011. The free version will include features such as lifetime statistics and social-networking integration. The subscription version will be priced at $49.99 USD per year and will include monthly downloadable content, daily competitions with virtual and real life prizes, the ability to level up your clan, pro analysis and strategies and more.

Gameplay videos fromE3 2011 in Los Angeles showed Delta Force soldiers helping Navy Seal Teams force a Russian submarine to surface in the East River and boarding it to destroy the other boats in the harbor. Later on, Delta Force soldiers are on a mission to destroy a radar jamming installation on top of the New York Stock Exchange.
